The offering is a part of the priesthood after the order of Melchizedek, which takes place at the beginning of the liturgy (in Proscomedia). During the offering, there is a preparation of the Eucharistic Sacrifice. Its essence consists of offering suggestions to God (ideas, projects, wishes), concerning the construction of the Kingdom of Glory. The priest, initiated in the “mysteries of the Wisdom of the North”, spiritually ties the community asks with the structure of Logos (its basic elements that are symbolized by prosphora and wine). Thus, on diskos is prepared spiritual and symbolic project, which includes the modification of the universe, connected to the real energies of supreme angelic forces, the entire foundation of being, which is the Body and Blood of the Lamb. In this form, the Church sends its draft offering to God.

The claims, made by the Almighty, become the fruits of grace, glory and joy. After the offerings are exhausted, the Church read prayers of thanks on which are built the walls of the Heavenly Jerusalem, the walls of the Kingdom of the Name of the Lord.

Today, the offering does no longer practiced in our churches. We have no longer an integral priesthood, but only an apparent, trimmed ritual. Therefore, this term has become a liturgical relic, a synonymous of Proskomedia itself or Prothesis (a table placed against the northern wall in the Altar, to the left of the Holy Table).

Book of Issaiah, ch. 18
7 Then, an offering will be brought to YahwehSabaoth on behalf of a people tall and bronzed, on behalf of a people feared far and near, on behalf of a mighty and masterful nation whose country is criss-crossed with rivers: to the place where the name of Yahweh Sabaoth resides, Mount Zion.

Zechariah 2:5-11

5 Then, raising my eyes, I had a vision. There was a man with a measuring line in his hand.

6 I asked him, 'Where are you going?' He said, 'To measure Jerusalem, to calculate her width and length.'

7 And then, while the angel who was talking to me walked away, another angel came out to meet him.

8 He said to him, 'Run, and tell that young man this, "Jerusalem is to remain unwalled, because of the great number of men and cattle inside.

9 For I -- Yahweh declares -- shall be a wall of fire all round her and I shall be the Glory within her." '

10 Look out! Look out! Flee from the land of the north -- Yahweh declares- for I have scattered you to the four winds of heaven -- Yahweh declares.

11 Look out! Make your escape, Zion, now living with the daughter of Babylon!

Apocalypse of St. John 11

1 Then I was given a long cane like a measuring rod, and I was told, 'Get up and measure God's sanctuary, and the altar, and the people who worship there;

2 but exclude the outer court and do not measure it, because it has been handed over to gentiles -- they will trample on the holy city for forty-two months.

3 But I shall send my two witnesses to prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, wearing sackcloth.

4 These are the two olive trees and the two lamps in attendance on the Lord of the world.

5 Fire comes from their mouths and consumes their enemies if anyone tries to harm them; and anyone who tries to harm them will certainly be killed in this way.

6 They have the power to lock up the sky so that it does not rain as long as they are prophesying; they have the power to turn water into blood and strike the whole world with any plague as often as they like.

Apocalypse of St. John 21

15 The angel that was speaking to me was carrying a gold measuring rod to measure the city and its gates and wall.

16 The plan of the city is perfectly square, its length the same as its breadth. He measured the city with his rod and it was twelve thousand furlongs, equal in length and in breadth, and equal in height.
